and often we talk

about how lovely it all is

You'd have been
surprised
at the strange things
I had 
to show.

You'd have
laughed 
at the long stories
I had 
to tell.

You'd have cried
sobbed
at the short sorrows
I had
made you feel.

And together 
we'd have 
fulfilled 
our destiny.
